Special Releases

Some recordings don't fit neatly into a series, and Attacca has never been a label to force them. The Special Releases collect the projects that stand on their own: unusual collaborations, one-off concepts, archival discoveries and albums that cross the boundaries between genres and disciplines. What unites them is the same curiosity that has driven the label since its founding by Sieuwert Verster in the late 1980s, a willingness to follow an idea wherever it leads, even if that means stepping off the beaten track. These are the outliers of the catalogue, and often its most surprising moments.
