Pipes and Bells
homage to Piet Kee
Pipes and Bells
Homage to Piet Kee
Six organists, a harmonium player, a carillonneur, a pan flute player, and the reed quintet Calefax perform works on this double album by one of the most important Dutch organists, composers, and teachers of the twentieth century. For more than fifty years, Kee left his mark on organ culture, both at home and far beyond the country's borders. His extensive body of work reveals impressive versatility. Many of Kee's former students can be heard on this tribute to a remarkable musician.
