Louis Andriessen

Louis Andriessen (1939–2021) was one of the most influential Dutch composers of his generation. In works such as De Staat, De Tijd and De Stijl he forged a powerful language of his own between strict structure, jazz and minimal music, and as a teacher at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague he shaped generations of composers.

Attacca has released a large part of his work, from De Tijd and De Stijl under Reinbert de Leeuw and the complete piano works by Ralph van Raat to the string quartets by the Schönberg Quartet and the opera Anaïs Nin with Cristina Zavalloni.
